09-12 May 2023 at Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City. Assistant Regional Director Gilbert H. Conde, Chief of Operations Section Marlyn O. Trozo, and Civil Defense Officer II Cheryl T. Namoc of the Office of the Civil Defense-X were the resource persons of the said training.
The training participants underwent six modules namely: Public Service Continuity Initiation, Risk Assessment for Continuity of Operations, Determining and Prioritizing Essential Functions, Developing Continuity Strategies, Developing the Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP), and Exercising, Testing, and Maintaining the Public Service Continuity Program.
Going through this four-day training, the participants understood the need for the government offices to enhance their disaster preparedness strategies to ensure that vital public services will not be disrupted or will be immediately restored during an emergency or disaster. Series of workshops were conducted to enable the participants to highlight internal capacities, recovery requirements, and to plan out strategies of the organization leaning towards continuous delivery of quality public services during any disruptive event. PSA X targets for the approval of its PSCP by third quarter of this year.
