The Philippine Statistics Authority X convened its Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) stakeholders in a virtual Consultation and Validation Workshop on the PPA preliminary Benchmark Estimates of the provinces and highly urbanized cities (HUCs) of Region X on 13 September 2021.

A total of 82 stakeholders from the provinces and HUCs in the region were apprised on the status of PPA compilation in Region X. The PSA was pleased to present the overall economic structure of the provinces and HUCS with the presentation of the preliminary benchmark (2018) estimates of the PPA.

The stakeholders were consulted and were asked of their observations on the presented economic structure for validation of the preliminary estimates. With the stakeholders` inputs, the PSA will be able to finalize and firm up the benchmark estimates and can move forward for the non-benchmark estimation of the PPA for years 2019 and 2020.

The PSA appreciates the continued support and cooperation of its stakeholders in enhancing the Philippine System of National Accounts which includes the Provincial Product Accounts.
