In terms of contribution to Industry, Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro City ranked 16th and 17th, respectively, among 82 provinces and 17 Highly Urbanized Cities (HUCs) outside National Capital Region. Misamis Oriental posted PhP 64 billion in gross value added (GVA) for Industry, while Cagayan de Oro posted PhP 62.5 billion, each contributing 1.1 percent to the country’s Industry.
Moreover, Bukidnon registered as the 24th biggest contributor to Industry. It recorded a PhP 44 billion GVA, sharing 0.7 percent to the country’s GVA of Industry.
Industry of the country recorded a gross value added of PhP 5.9 trillion, which is 29.7 percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product.
