The Philippine Statistics Authority 10 has successfully registered 3.8 million Filipino citizens in Northern Mindanao for Step 2 Registration from June 2021 up to the Second Quarter of 2023. It also successfully printed and issued over 2.6 million ePhilID while PhilPost distributed 1,200,235 ePhilID in the region.
Of the 3.8 million registered Filipino citizens in the region, the province of Misamis Oriental recorded the highest number of registrants (1,490,996) among the five provinces in the region. The province of Bukidnon recorded the second highest number of registrants with (1,233,790) followed by the provinces of Lanao del Norte (631,019), Misamis Occidental (468,768), and Camiguin (72,247).
The issued PhilID, ePhilID, and the downloadable format of ePhilID can be used by the owners in any government and private sector transaction that needs valid proof of identity.
PhilSys-registered individuals can visit https://appt.philsys.gov.ph to check the availability of their ePhilIDs. Moreover, registered persons who have received an official text message from the PSA may also download a PDF copy of the ePhilID on their mobile devices.
The PSA continues to work closely with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) for card production and printing, and the Philippine Postal Corporation (Post Office) for PhilID delivery.
