The Philippine Statistics Authority 10 celebrates the 32nd Civil Registration Month. This annual celebration is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 682, signed by then President Corazon C. Aquino on 28 January 1991, declaring February as the Civil Registration Month. The celebration is part of the mandate of the PSA to enforce civil registration functions in the country.

The Civil Registration Month celebration is aimed to strengthen and intensify the commitment and advocacy of the PSA to deliver effective and efficient civil registration and vital statistics in the country. This February 2022, the 32nd Civil Registration Month is celebrated with the theme “Improving Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Implementation Strategies through Digital Transformation”.

PSA 10 conducted the CR Month Opening Ceremony on 02 February 2022 which was started with a motorcade along the national highway of Cagayan de Oro City with the support of the City Mayor and the City Civil Registry Office headed by CCR Evangeline Tapangan. The activity was followed by a holy mass, launching of the civil registration booth and conduct of lecture on the civil registration service updates and trivia.

In partnership with the City and Municipal Civil Registrars, the PSA 10 will conduct various activities such as display of streamers, social responsibility activities (coastal clean-up, street cleaning and gift giving activity), mobile registration, infrographics training and making contests.

The Regional Office will also be conducting the First Quarter 2022 Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (RIACCRVS) on 15 February 2022 with the member government agencies (Department of Health, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Education, Department of Foreign Affairs, Population Commission, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Justice) and Association of Civil Registrars in Region 10.
