The province of Misamis Oriental and the City of Cagayan De Oro has a total Birth Registration of 25, 840 for the year 2021. More than half of the total of the birth registrants came from the province of Misamis Oriental with equivalent of 54.53 percent. The rest of the 45.47 percent came from the highly urbanized city of the province, the City of Cagayan de Oro.(Table 1)

The month of December garners the highest total registrants with 2, 403 with equivalent percentage of 9.30 percent. The next highest total registrants are the month of October, September and November with equivalent birth registration of 2,393 which is equal to 9.26 percent, 2,382 which is equal to 9.22 percent, and 2,309 which is equal to 8.94 percent registrants respectively. On the other hand the least total birth registration occurred in the month of February with total birth registrants 1,639 which is equivalent to 6.34 percent. (Table 1)

In the province of Misamis Oriental, the highest birth registration occurred in the month of December with 1, 352 registrants with equivalent percentage of 9.60 percent of the total registration of the province excluding Cagayan de Oro City. The months with highest registrants following after the month of December are September, October and November with equivalent registrants of 1,329 registrants which is equal to 9.43 percent, 1, 311 registrants which is equal to 9.30 percent and 1,223 registrants which is equal to 8.68 percent respectively. An uptrend of birth registration in the province can be observed during the month of February to May and June to September but dropped on the months of February , June and November. The birth registration of year 2021, on the other hand is at its lowest in month of February with 913 registrants which only comprised 6.48 percent of the total birth registration . (Figure 1)

The City of Cagayan de Oro records its highest birth registration on the month of November with 1,086 registrants which is equivalent to 9.24 percent of the total births. This was followed closely by the month of October, May and September with 1,082 registrants with equivalent percentage of 9.21 percent, 1,066 registrants with equivalent percentage of 9.07 percent and 1,053 registrants with equivalent percentage of 8.96 percent, respectively. The month with lowest birth registrants occurred in February with 726 registrants which only comprised 6.17 percent of the total birth registration of the city in year 2021.(Figure 2)

Number of Live Births by sex of the province of Misamis Oriental shows that male birth registrants is greater than the female birth registrants in the province. There were 6,666 female birth registration of Misamis Oriental which is equivalent to 47. 31 percent. On the other hand, the male birth registration recorded with 7,424 registrants composed the rest of 52.69 percent of the total birth registration.

On the other hand, in the City of Cagayan de Oro, male birth registrants composed more than half of the total registration which is equal to 52.52 percent with equivalent of 6,171 birth registrants while the female birth registrants composed the rest of 47.48 percent with equivalent of 5,579 birth registrants.
