The 2023 National Information and Communications Technology Household Survey (NICTHS) is a new survey commissioned to the Philippine Statistics Authority that aims to provide data on household and individual indicators in the post-recovery period following the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey will generate updated benchmarks for key Information and Communications Technology (ICT) indicators that have seen a surge during the pandemic, as accelerated use of ICTs has been widely observed by households, individuals, government, and the private sector. The NICTHS is part of the larger Digital Philippines initiative of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) that is dedicated to providing every Filipino with access to vital ICT infrastructure and services.

For Northern Mindanao, the 2023 NICTHS covers a total of 2,612 sample households to be interviewed by twenty statistical researchers for the household and individual questionnaires and selected barangays to be interviewed by 7 team supervisors starting 05 February until 06 March 2024. The field personnel were carefully trained on the concepts and administration of questionnaires through computer-aided personal interviewing (CAPI), field operation guidelines, and the use of android tablets in the data collection to ensure the quality of data that will be collected.

The PSA is asking for the support of the public for the successful conduct of the survey. The office also assures the respondents that the data which will be collected by the statistical researchers will be held strictly confidential.
