26 January 2024, Concepcion, Misamis Occidental - The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Concepcion celebrated a significant milestone on January 26, 2024, as they successfully completed the turnover of Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data. This collaborative effort aims to enhance data-driven decision-making and empower local communities.

Dr. Janith C. Aves, Officer-in-Charge of PSA RSSO X, expressed her appreciation for the collaborative effort, stating, "The successful turnover of CBMS data is a testament to the strong collaboration between PSA and LGU Concepcion. By harnessing accurate and up-to-date data, we can ensure that development initiatives are targeted and effective, addressing the unique needs of the community."

LGU Concepcion emphasized the practical implications of the CBMS data for local development planning. Joen R. Pacoy, Municipal Administrator, said, "The CBMS data turnover marks a significant step forward in our commitment to evidence-based governance. Armed with this valuable information, we are better equipped to implement programs that directly address the specific challenges and opportunities in our community."

The successful transfer of CBMS data from PSA to LGU Concepcion sets a positive precedent for future collaborations between national and local agencies. It underlines the importance of data-sharing initiatives in fostering a more responsive and accountable governance framework.
