The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office X (PSA-RSSO X) commemorates the PSA 10th Anniversary on 05 September 2023. The event began with a Grand Caravan around the city, attended by the PSA stakeholders, followed by the unveiling of the PSA Exhibit in the Second Floor of Limketkai Mall, and a program at the Mallberry Suites Business Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City. 

 

The PSA was established on 12 September 2013 pursuant to Republic Act No. 10625 or otherwise known as the “Philippine Statistical Act of 2013” signed by then President Benigno Aquino III. PSA is a merger of four (4) government agencies namely: National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB), National Statistics Office (NSO), Bureau of Labor and Employment Statistics (BLES) of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS) of the Department of Agriculture (DA). 

 

PSA drives to implement strategies to improve using the latest state-of-the-art technologies to deliver quality output. With this, PSA also embraces innovation to provide better quality services not just to deliver its functions but to serve the Philippines as well through adapting the modern world. Through these strategies, the PSA reassured continuous commitment to provide timely and quality statistics necessary for decision making in all aspects of Filipino life.
