The Philippine Identification System (Philsys) team in Misamis Occidental, in collaboration with government agencies and private institutions, successfully conducted the "Serbisyo Caravan outreach Program 2024," enabling eighteen (18) unregistered clients to obtain their unique PhilSys identification number and have their biometrics accurately recorded.
The event, which took place on April 22, 2024, at the Barangay Guba Covered Court in Clarin, Misamis Occidental, showcased the government's commitment in providing essential services and support to citizens under the leadership of Mayor Emeterio D. Roa, Jr., and SP Members. The joint initiative brought together several critical agencies that play pivotal roles in the welfare and development of the community.
The outreach program caters to the following barangays: Penacio, Bernad, Dalingap, Bitoon, Sebasi, Guba, Malibangcao, Cabunga-an and Segatic Daku.
National and local agencies providing services for the events include:
- 10th Infantry Division, Philippine Army: Free Haircut
- Clarin Municipal Police Station
- DILG MLGOO
- COMELEC Office: COMELEC Registration
- PAO Ozamiz: Legal Assistance
- MHARSMC: Bloodletting Services
- MHOO RHU CLARIN: Medical and Dental Services
- MTO: Community Tax and Animal Registration
- MSWDO: Counseling and Senior Citizens Registration
- MCRO: Civil Registration Services
- MAO: Agricultural Services
- PSA: PhilSys ID Registration, and Mobile Copy Request
Civil Society Organizations:
- KAAKIBAT CIVICOM: Feeding Program
- Clarin Eagles Club: distribution of multivitamins, soap, and alcohol
- Novawood: juice drinks and school bags.
In addition, the PhilSys Misamis Occidental team conducted information dissemination on the said event. Executive Order No. 162, Salient Provision of RA 11055 or the “PhilSys Act” and the importance and benefits of having PhilID/National ID were discussed with the participants.
The Philippine Identification System, known as PhilSys, aims to provide valid proof of identity for all Filipinos, promoting efficient and inclusive service delivery in both the public and private sectors. By issuing each citizen a unique permanent PhilSys number, the government can better target and deliver to those who need them the most.
In conclusion, the successful registration of unregistered clients through the PhilSys and Government events in Misamis Occidental is a testament to the transformative potential of efficient public service and collaborative governance. By empowering citizens with valid identification and enhanced access to services, the government takes significant steps towards building a more inclusive and progressive society.
