05 January 2024, Sapang Dalaga Misamis Occidental - The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Community Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data turnover ceremony, a collaborative effort aimed at empowering local governance and promoting evidence-based decision-making. The ceremony, held on 05 January 2024 marks a crucial milestone in the collaboration between PSA and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sapang Dalaga.


The CBMS is a participatory and comprehensive approach to data collection that empowers communities by providing accurate and localized information. Through this initiative, PSA has worked closely with LGU Sapang Dalaga to collect and analyze data that is essential for informed policy-making and targeted development interventions at the local level.

The turnover ceremony, held at SB Session Hall,Sapang Dalaga, witnessed the official handover of the CBMS data from PSA to the LGU of Sapang Dalaga, led by Hon. Mayor Donjie D. Animas. They expressed their gratitude for the collaboration and highlighted the practical applications of the CBMS data in local governance for the improvement of community well-being.


The CBMS data turnover ceremony exemplifies the collaborative spirit between national and local entities in working towards community-driven development. PSA reaffirms its commitment to expanding CBMS initiatives across the Philippines, fostering data-driven governance for sustainable progress.
