The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Provincial Statistics Office of Misamis Occidental would like to inform the public that children age 1 to 4 years old may now be registered to PhilSys. This is pursuant to Republic Act 11055, or the Philippine Identification Systems Act that PhilSys registration is open to all ages.

Part of the registration process is that the parent or guardian must accompany the child and bring with him/her the child’s identification and/or supporting documents. The accompanying parent or guardian shall also bring thier PhilID/ePhilID, as thier PCN is required, together with any supporting documents showing thier relationship to the child such as th following:

  1. PSA/LCRO – issued Certificate of Live Birth;
  2. Authorization Letter executed by the parent of the child;
  3. Death Certificate if both parents were deceased;
  4. Agency ID in case the child is under the care of an institutional population

For the registration process, only demographic information and a front-facing photograph of the children are required. However, once the children reach the age of five, they must revisit the registration center to provide their biomentric data. PSA will issue notification to the parent or guardian 180 days before the child’s fifth birthday itself, and 180 days before the sixth birthday, remininding them to return to the registration center for biometric data capture.
