The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Misamis Occidental remains committed to extending the reach of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration to remote regions throughout the province.

Teams tasked with PhilSys registration have been dispatched to remote areas to make the system accessible to Misamisnon living in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA). These teams employ various modes of transportation within these localities to guarantee that all Filipinos can register for the PhilSys.

The efficacy of this initiative was demonstrated in Barangay Manla, nestled within the secluded barangay of Sapang Dalaga, Misamis Occidental on 31 May 2024, registration personnel from PSO Misamis Occidental embarked on motorized bangka to transport registration kits to households situated near the shore, facilitating the registration process for residents in the area. This proactive approach exemplifies PSA’s dedication to inclusivity and its determination to leave no one behind in the journey toward comprehensive PhilSys coverage.

PSA Misamis Occidental continues to intensify further its goal to make PhilSys registration more accessible to the people.
