The Philippine Statistics Authority 10 announces the conduct of the Press Launch for the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries on 01 September 2023 (Friday) at 08:30 AM to be held at Chali Beach Resort and Conference Center, Cugman Cagayan de Oro City. Media practitioners, census coordinating board members, associations, cooperatives, tribal groups that engage in agriculture and fishery activities/operations are invited to attend.

The Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) is a nationwide statistical undertaking, conducted in accordance with RA 10625, the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013 mandating the Philippine Statistics Authority to prepare and conduct periodic censuses on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry and other sector of the economy. This comprehensive census seeks to determine the structural characteristics of agricultural and fisheries sectors, provide insights into various crop farming, livestock, poultry, culturing of worms and insects, and fishing operations, and collect information on the available facilities and services in the barangays.
