Rice
In Misamis Occidental, a kilogram of special rice maintained its average retail price of PhP 58.17 during the second phase of January 2024 (15 to 17 January 2024). Moreover, there is no record for the average retail price for the well milled rice and regular milled rice. (see Figure 1)
Meat and Poultry
A kilogram of beef with bones had an average retail price of PhP 265.00 during the second phase of January 2024, which is the same average price as the first phase of January 2024. Since the second phase of December 2023, the average retail price for pure beef has remained unchanged at PhP 391.00 per kilogram. Also maintained its average retail price, pork kasim at PhP 287.50 per kilogram, pork liempo at PhP 316.00 per kilogram, and pork meat with bones at PhP 200.00 per kilogram, dressed chicken at Php 197.50 per kilogram during the second phase of January 2024. However, chicken egg (medium size) had an average retail price of PhP 9.54 per piece during the second phase of January 2024, this is an increase of average retail price from PhP 8.88 per piece during the first phase of January 2024. Bangus
A kilogram of bangus in Misamis Occidental had a stable average retail price of PhP 180.00 during the second phase of January 2024. (see Figure 3)
Vegetables
In Misamis Occidental, the average retail price of Ampalaya during the second phase of January 2024 was PhP 75.00 per kilogram, the same price as the first phase of January 2024. Average retail price of cabbage, also maintained at PhP 90.00 per kilogram during the second phase of January 2024. Carrot recorded an average retail price of PhP 140.00 per kilogram during the second phase of January 2024. A kilogram of eggplant is at PhP 65.00 during the second phase of January 2024. This showed an equal price relative to its previous average retail price per kilogram during the first phase of January 2024. Average retail price of Baguio beans at PhP 80.00 per kilogram, Petchay (Native) at PhP 95.00 per kilogram, String beans at PhP 60.00 per kilogram, Tomato at PhP 90.00 per kilogram and White Potato at PhP 195.00 per kilogram, was maintained during the second phase of January 2024. (see Figure 4)
Condiments
The average retail price of native garlic was PhP 150.00 per kilogram during the second phase of January 2024, the same average retail price since the second phase of December 2023. Moreover, Hawaiian ginger has an average retail price of PhP 85.00 during the second phase of January 2024, a decline of Php 5.00 per kilogram compared to first phase of January 2024. (see Figure 5)
Fruits
A lakatan banana had an average retail price of PhP 46.00 and latundan banana had an average retail price of PhP 25.00 in Misamis Occidental during the second phase of January 2024, the same average retail price since the second phase of December 2023. Also, Papaya maintained an average retail price of PhP 45.00 per kilogram during the second phase of January 2024. (see Figure 6)
Other Commodities
The average retail price of cooking oil was at PhP 163.92 per liter during the second phase of January 2024, same average retail price relative to first phase of January 2024. Brown sugar’s average retail price declined from PhP 69.13 to PhP 60.50 per kilogram during the second phase of January 2024. Also, refined sugar’s average retail price of declined to PhP 73.00 per kilogram during the second phase of January 2024. (see Figure 7)
