The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Office 10 (PSA 10) announces the ongoing Geotagging of Service Facilities and Government Projects (SFGP), also known as the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Form 8 operation. This initiative aims to enhance local-level data collection on households, service facilities, government projects, and natural resources, providing essential information for evidence-based policymaking and development planning.

Prior to this geotagging operation, the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Barangay Profile Data Collection and SFGP Listing have identified various service facilities and government projects across barangays, cities, and municipalities. Additionally, geotagging data from the 2022/2023 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) will serve as a key reference to ensure comprehensive coverage.

To complement these efforts, PSA 10 will also conduct the Listing of Building Constructions (LoBC) alongside the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Geotagging of SFGP. While PSA continues to compile construction statistics from approved building permits, the LoBC will help bridge data gaps by capturing essential details such as the number, type, value, construction period, and permit status of all structures, including those without formal building permits.

This statistical initiative will deploy 109 trained field personnel across the five provinces of Northern Mindanao from 03 March 2025 to 12 April 2025. Their efforts will ensure the precise mapping of infrastructure and service facilities, contributing to improved planning and service delivery at both national and local levels.

PSA 10 calls for the full cooperation and support of LGUs and stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the collected data, which will serve as a critical foundation for development programs. All gathered information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality in accordance with Section 26 of Republic Act No. 10625 and the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
