02 July 2024, Ozamiz City – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Misamis Occidental successfully conducted the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data turnover to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Baliangao. The ceremonial turnover took place at the Baliangao Municipal Hall on June 26, 2024, marking a significant milestone in local governance and community development.

The event was graced by the presence of key officials from both the PSA and LGU Baliangao. The turnover ceremony highlighted the collaborative efforts between the national and local governments in utilizing data for informed decision-making and effective governance.

During the ceremony, the PSA presented a comprehensive overview of the CBMS data, which includes vital statistics and socioeconomic information that will aid the LGU in identifying and addressing local issues. The data encompasses various aspects such as population demographics, employment, health, education, and access to basic services, providing a robust foundation for planning and development initiatives.

The event concluded with a commitment from both parties to continue their collaboration in utilizing data for the betterment of the community. The PSA will also provide support and training to the LGU to ensure the effective use and management of the CBMS data.
