The City Civil Registrar of Cagayan de Oro City has continued its campaign to ensure that every Pinoy and Pinay gets in the picture. The PhilSys Birth Regishation Assistance Project (PBRAP) played a pivotal role in fulfilling this project campaign perspective. Furthermore, the City Civil Registrar expanded its services by conducting Mobile Registration throughout its entire scope.

The Provincial Office of Misamis Oriental, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) had initiated the awarding of PBRAP beneficiaries to received Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) in Security Paper (SecPa) under the supervision of Ms. Maria Liza M. Bigornia, Chief Statistical Specialist at the Barangay Balubal Plaza in the City of Cagayan de Oro. On January 03,2024, lmage 1 are Honorable Barangay Captain, Pablo Bactong, Acting City Civil Regiskar Ms. Maribel S. Guzman, along with Registration Officer V Ms. Perle Joy T. Lee and representative from PSA - Misamis Oriental the Birth Registration Agent Mr. Wed Micole B. Quilang. The event marked the recognition of the first batch beneficiaries from the PhilSys Birth Regishation Assistance Project (PBRAP).

A beneficiary, Mr. Elvin Alahay Vaguchay, 53 years old from Balubal, expressed his gratitude after receiving his birth certificate for the first time. Mrs. Eden Condes Gumal, a mother of Ridan Gumal Cubilla, received her first COLBs at the same time.

PBRAP is a project being implemented by the PSA, giving assistance for those in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the lndigenous People, and Muslim Filipinos, those in the poorest sector, and those who were born outside the locality current and at present residing herein (out-of-Town-reporting).
