Bukidnon

The headline inflation in the Province of Bukidnon for December 2022 is at 7.3 percent, a higher inflation rate from November 2022 which is 7.0 percent. The Inflation rate recorded from the previous year December 2021 was lower at 4.1 percent. The average inflation rate of the province from January 2022 to December 2022 is at 5.8 percent.

The major contributors to the December 2022 inflation are the commodity groups Food and Non-alcoholic Beverages at 8.9 percent from 8.0 percent from the previous month and Transport at 10.3 percent from 9.4 percent in November 2022.

The Food Groups with higher inflation were Sugar, Confectionery and Desserts at 45.0 percent, Meat and other parts of Slaughtered Land Animals at 14.6 percent, Oils and Fats at 12.4 percent, Milk, other Dairy Products and Eggs at 10.9 percent, Vegetables, Tubers, Cooking Bananas and Pulses at 9.8 percent, Corn at 9.8 percent and Fish and Other Seafood at 9.7 percent.

The acceleration in Transport commodity group was influenced by the subgroup Transport Services of Goods 18.1 percent and Passenger Transport Services at 13.0 percent.

Commodity Groups that showed higher inflation:

a. Food and Non-alcoholic Beverages, 8.9 percent
b. Transport, 10.3 percent
c. Recreation, Sport and Culture, 1.4 percent
d. Restaurants and Accommodation Services, 6.4 percent

Commodity Groups that showed lower inflation:

a. Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco,2.7 percent
b. Clothing and Footwear, 0.2 percent
c. Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other fuels, 9.2 percent
d. Furnishing, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance, 0.8 percent
e. Personal Care and Miscellaneous Goods, 1.4 percent

Other commodity groups that showed constant inflation:

a. Health, 1.0 percent
b. Information and Communication, 0.0 percent
c. Financial Services, 0.0
d. Education Services, 0.7 percent
