The headline inflation in the Province of Bukidnon for June 2023 is lower at 6.5 percent from 6.8 percent in May 2023. The Inflation rate recorded in June 2022 was lower at 5.4 percent. The average inflation rate from January to June 2023 is at 7.6 percent.

The main sources of the decrease in the June 2023 inflation were the commodity groups Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels, at 10.8 percent from 11.4 percent and Transport at -3.3 percent from -1.3 percent.

The Selected Food Items that showed lower inflation were Corn at 4.3 percent from 4.8 percent; Meat and Other Parts of Slaughtered Land Animals at 5.9 percent from 7.3 percent; Fruits and Nuts 1.6 percent from 3.4 percent; Vegetable, Tubers, Plantains, Cooking Bananas and Pulses at 14.7 percent from 16.3 percent.

Other food items that recorded a higher inflation were Rice, 1.1 percent; Flour, Bread and Other Bakery Products, Pasta Products, and Other cereals, 9.4 percent; Fish and other Seafoods, 8.7 percent; Milk, Other Dairy Products and Eggs, 12.6 percent; Oils and Fats, 26.0 percent; Sugar, Confectionery and Desserts 36.8 percent; and Ready-Made Food and Other Food Products, 11.7 percent.

Higher inflation:

  1. Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages, 7.5 percent
  2. Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, 12.5 percent
  3. Clothing and Footwear, 8.3 percent
  4. Recreation, Sport and Culture, 3.7 percent
  5. Personal Care and Miscellaneous Goods, 3.6 percent

Lower inflation:

  1. Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels, 10.8 percent
  2. Transport, -3.3 percent

Constant inflation:

  1. Furnishing, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance, 1.6 percent
  2. Health, 5.0 percent
  3. Information and Communication, 2.1 percent
  4. Education Services, 0.8 percent
  5. Restaurants and Accommodation Services, 8.8 percent
  6. Financial Services, 0.0 percent
