Bukidnon

The headline inflation in the Province of Bukidnon had an increase of 0.2 percent from 5.2 percent in May 2022 to 5.4 percent in June 2022. Inflation rate from the previous year June 2021 was lower at 3.2 percent. The average inflation for the first 6 months of 2022 is at 4.8 percent.

Transport still has the highest annual increase in the index reaching 20.1 percent from 17.4 percent in May 2022. Operation of Personal Transport Equipment inflation at 47.3 percent attributed to the increase. Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and other Fuel is at 6.4 percent while Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages is at 4.5 percent from 4.3 percent.

A Cereal product particularly Corn from the food group still showed a double-digit 14.8 percent. Sugar, Confectionery and Desserts increased to 12.6 percent.

Other food groups that exhibited higher annual increment during the month:

a. Meat and Other Parts of Slaughtered Land Animals, 9.8 percent

b. Vegetables, Tubers, Cooking Bananas and Pulses, 7.0 percent

c. Fish and Other Seafood, 5.8 percent

Annual changes were also observed in the following non-food commodity groups:

a. Furnishing, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance, 2.6 percent

b. Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, 2.5 percent

Other commodity groups showed less than 1.0 percent inflation rates, or had negative percentage growths.
