Bukidnon

The headline inflation in the Province of Bukidnon has accelerated to 6.6 percent in September 2022 from 6.5 percent in August 2022 Inflation rate from September 2021 was lower at 3.5 percent. The average inflation from January to September of 2022 is at 5.3 percent.

The commodity groups that were observed to have higher inflation in September 2022 compared to the previous month were Food and Non-alcoholic Beverages, from 5.7 percent to 6.5 percent, Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas, and other fuels from 9.5 percent to 10.7 percent and Education Services from -0.1 percent to 0.8 percent.

The subgroups Sugar, Confectionery and Desserts at 28.0 percent, Corn at 14.1 percent and Meat and Other Parts of Slaughtered Land Animals, 13.2 percent contributed to the higher inflation of the commodity group Food and Non-alcoholic Beverages.

The acceleration in the Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas, and other fuels was influenced by subgroups Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels, 21.0 percent and Actual Rentals for Housing at 5.2 percent.

The minimal increment of the September 2022 inflation was primarily because of the Commodity Groups that showed lower inflation:

a. Transport, 13.9 percent
b. Furnishing, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance, 2.0 percent
c. Personal Care and Miscellaneous Goods, 2.0 percent
d. Recreation, Sport and Culture, 1.6 percent
e. Information and Communication, 1.3 percent
f. Clothing and Footwear, 0 percent

Other commodity groups that showed constant inflation:

a. Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, 3.2 percent
b. Health, 0.9
c. Restaurants and Accommodation Services, -0.1
d. Financial Services, 0.0
