Bukidnon

The headline inflation in the Province of Bukidnonhasaccelerated to 7.0 percent in October 2022 from 6.6 percent in September 2022. Inflation rate inOctober2021 was lower at 3.8 percent. The average inflationfrom January to October of 2022 is at 5.5percent.

The commodity groups that were observed to have higher inflation in October 2022 compared to the previous month were Food and Non-alcoholic Beverages, from 6.5 percent to 7.4 percent, Restaurants and Accommodation Services, from -0.1 percent to 3.4 percent, Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas, and other fuels from 10.7 percent to 10.9 percent, Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco from 3.2 percent to 3.6 percent and Clothing and Footwear from 0.0 percent to 0.7 percent.

The subgroups Sugar, Confectionery and Desserts at 30.0 percent, Corn at 11.9 percent and Meat and Other Parts of Slaughtered Land Animals, 13.8 percent contributed to the higher inflation of the commodity group Food and Non-alcoholic Beverages.

The acceleration in Restaurants and Accommodation Services was influenced by the subgroup Food and Beverage Serving Services, 3.6 percent and Actual Rentals for Housing at 5.2 percent.

Commodity Groups that showed lower inflation:

a. Transport, 11.8 percent

b. Personal Care and Miscellaneous Goods, 1.7 percent

c. Recreation, Sport and Culture, 1.1 percent

d. Education Services, 0.7 percent

e. Information and Communication, 0.0 percent

Other commodity groups that showed constant inflation:

a. Furnishing, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance, 2.0 percent

b. Health, 0.9

c. Financial Services, 0.0
