Rice


During the second phase of June 2024, average retail prices of rice seemed unchanged. Special rice slightly go down from PhP 59.50 to PhP 59.00 per kilogram, well milled rice maintained at PhP 53.50 per kilogram and regular milled rice at PhP 50.00 per kilogram during the said reference period. (see Figure 1)

Meat and Poultry

In the second phase of June 2024, average retail price of meat and poultry remained unchanged except for pork meat with bones. Beef with bones still at PhP 260.00 per kilogram, pure beef meat still at PhP 370.00 per kilogram, pork kasim still at PhP 272.50 per kilogram, pork liempo at PhP 306.00 per kilogram, pork meat with bones saw a slight increase from PhP 205.00 to PhP 210.00 per kilogram, dressed chicken still at PhP 195.00 per kilogram. (see Figure 2) Chicken egg (medium size) maintained its average retail price at PhP 9.54 per piece. (see Figure 3)

Fish

A kilogram of bangus in Misamis Occidental saw a PhP 10.00 decrease on its average retail price from PhP 200.00 to PhP 190.00 per kilogram. (see Figure 4)

Vegetables

Average retail prices of vegetables in Misamis Occidental gained stability during the second phase of June 2024. Ampalaya still at PhP 80.00 per kilogram, cabbage still at PhP 110.00 per kilogram; carrots gained stability at PhP 100.00 per kilogram; eggplants slightly increased at PhP 70.00 from PhP 65.00 per kilogram; baguio beans still at PhP 120.00 per kilogram; pechay (native) still at PhP 105.00 per kilogram; string beans remained at PhP 60.00 per kilogram; tomato at PhP 95.00 per kilogram; and white potato at PhP 140.00 per kilogram. (see Figure 5)

Condiments

During the first phase of June 2024, native garlic maintained on its average retail price at PhP 155.00 per kilogram while Hawaiian ginger gained stability on its average retail price at PhP 200.00 per kilogram. (see Figure 6)

Fruits

Fruits in Misamis Occidental were stable on its average retail price during the second phase of June 2024. Banana (lakatan) at PhP 70.00 per kilogram, banana (latundan) at PhP 25.00 per kilogram and papaya at PhP 52.50 per kilogram. (see Figure 7)

Other Commodities

Cooking oil maintained its average retail price at PhP 163.92 per liter, brown sugar increase it average retail price from PhP 62.00 to PhP 70.00 per kilogram, while refined sugar still at PhP 76.50 per kilogram. (see Figure 8)
