Mr. Fahadh P. Abbas, a First Year BS Biology student of Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, aced out 27 contestants vying for the Championship title of the Inter-CollegiateOfficial Statistics Virtual Quiz Show held on 19 October 2021 via Zoom and live streamed at PSA-RSSO X Facebook page.
Fourteen universities participated in this Quiz Show namely: Camiguin Polytechnic State College, Capitol University, Gingoog City Colleges, Inc., MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology, MSU-Lanao del Norte Agricultural College, Iligan Medical Center College, Misamis Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology, Pilgrim Christian College, and the campuses of University of Southeastern Philippines in Cagayan de Oro, Claveria, Jasaan, Oroquieta, and Panaon.
The other top 5 contestants who advanced to the final round were Ms. Jannah S. Amerol (2nd Year BS Biology, MSU-IIT), Ms. Dimple B. Cabural (2nd Year BS IT, USTP-Oroquieta), Mr. Aldan Rae Ira Tubo (2nd Year BS Envi Eng, USTP-Claveria), Mr. Ralph Bryan A. Francisco (1st Year BS Mathematics, NMSCST), and Ms. Karla Jane Ratunil (2ndYear BSBA, Pilgrim Christian College).
The Inter-Collegiate Official Statistics Quiz Show was conducted in celebration of the 32nd National Statistics Month with the aim of instilling and raising awareness of official government statistics among the youth.
