The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by 193 member states of the United Nations in 2015, is considered as the 2030 Development Agenda which must be implemented by these countries to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities, and tackle climate change while ensuring no one is left behind. In line with the commitment of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) as the official repository of the SDG indicators, PSA-X announces the release of the maiden issue of Region X SDG Watch, which reports the baseline data and latest available data, providing information for tracking the progress of Region X in achieving the SDGs. This can be accessed and downloaded from the PSA X website at http://rsso10.psa.gov.ph/sustainable_development_goals. The maiden issue of Region X SDG Watch posted updates of the 61 out of 72 Regional Core SDG indicators (SDGIs). The Region X SDG Watch also featured additional indicators for regional monitoring as resolved and agreed upon by the Regional Statistics Committee-X. The publication of the 2020 SDG Watch of Region X is made possible through the collaborative efforts of the various agencies committed to the monitoring and attainment of the SDGs.
