Bukidnon

The headline inflation in the Province of Bukidnon continues to increase from 5.4 percent in June 2022 it is at 6.0 percent in July 2022. Inflation rate for July 2021 was lower at 2.6 percent. The average inflation for the first seven months of 2022 is at 4.9 percent.
Transport remains to have the highest annual increase in the index reaching 22.2 percent from 20.1 percent in June 2022. Operation of Personal Transport Equipment inflation at 47.2 has the highest percentage among the transport group. Commodity group Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and other Fuel is at 6.3 percent. A significant increase in Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages from 4.5 percent to 5.2 percent in July is observed.
A Cereal product particularly Corn from the food group still showed a double-digit 15.1 percent. Sugar, Confectionery and Desserts increased to 15.2 percent.
Other food groups that exhibited higher rate during the month:

a. Meat and Other Parts of Slaughtered Land Animals, 12.4 percent
b. Fish and Other Seafood, 6.6 percent

Minimal increases were also observed in the following non-food commodity groups:

a. Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, 2.7 percent

b. Furnishing, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance, 2.6 percent

c. Personal Care and Miscellaneous Goods, 2.3 percent

d. Recreation, Sport and Culture 1.7 percent

e. Information and Communication, 1.6 percent

Other commodity groups showed less than 1.0 percent inflation rates, or had negative percentage growths.
