Northern Mindanao

Regional inflation increased to 7.4 percent in November 2022, from 7.2 percent in the previous month. The inflation rate in November 2021 was lower at 4.1 percent. (Table A and Figure 1)

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Misamis Occidental for the month of November 2022 increased at 119.8 from 118.8 in the month of October 2022.

Iligan City’s Consumer Price Index posted at 119.0 for the month of November which imply that the price of one basket of goods was 19.0 higher than the price of goods in year 2018.

Lanao del Norte’s Consumer Price Index posted at 116.6 for the month of November which imply that the price of one basket of goods was 16.6 higher than the price of goods in year 2018.

The economy of Bukidnon posted a growth of 6.4 percent in 2021, accelerated from 1.2 percent growth in the previous year.

The economy of Misamis Occidental posted a growth of 4.0 percent in 2021, a rebound from -6.3 percent decline in the previous year.

The economy of the City of Iligan posted a growth of 6.1 percent in 2021, an acceleration from the 3.2 percent growth in the previous year.
